The Teqball Federation of Sri Lanka (TEQ Sri Lanka) is a governing body for Teqball in Sri Lanka. It was established at its inaugural meeting which was held on 05 December 2018. And its first Annual General Meeting was held on 26 December 2019 at Olympic House, National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka.
Our vision is ‘Teqball for All’ so as to provide an opportunity to everyone in the nation without any discrimination regardless of gender, age, ability, and knowledge level.
Our slogan is ‘Proud to be Teqlankan!’ for the promotion and development of Teqball around Sri Lanka.
Our emblem colour shall be blue, orange, and white. The emblem is illustrated below.
The TEQ Sri Lanka is established with the following objectives:
To encourage, promote, develop and control the sports - Teqball in Sri Lanka
To acquire by all lawful means, movable and immovable property and to apply both capital and income thereof, for or towards all or any of the objectives of the TEQ Sri Lanka
To formulate and enforce laws governing Teqball in Sri Lanka, and generally to be guided by such definitions as are laid down by the Fédération Internationale de Teqball (FITEQ)
Generally, to do all such other acts and things as may seem to the TEQ Sri Lanka to be convenient and/or conducive to the carrying out of the objects of the TEQ Sri Lanka.
Our short term goal is to take part in the Asian Beach Games to be held in 2021 in Sanya, China.
Recognitions
TEQ Sri Lanka was recognized as a Co-opted Member by NOC Sri Lanka on 24 January 2020.
TEQ Sri Lanka was recognized as one of the National Sports Federations by the Ministry of Sports and gazetted on 03 July 2020.
TEQ Sri Lanka was recognized as a National Teqball Federation by FITEQ on 01 September 2020.
